Hello, and welcome to my website!

My name is Bryce Villanueva, and I’m a recent graduate with a passion in user experience design. My goal is to achieve effective and meaningful experiences driven through intensive user research. I’m looking for new and exciting opportunities to gain real world experience and prove my skills as a designer. I am resilient, adaptive and ready to learn across all areas/disciplines in order to efficiently reach the end goals of development.

I’m a graduate from the University of Washington Bothell, class of 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Media Design.

Projects

Academic

My year-long senior capstone project. From ideation to completion, my team and I created a game abstracting the issue of teen stress and anxiety.

Project from my first year of the Interactive Media Design program. This was an experience based on the issue of unequal privileges and opportunities.

While I was a premajor, I worked with the students from the Interactive Media Design program. Our assignment was to create an interactive museum installation and we decided to create an entire Daft Punk Exhibit for the EMP.

Ghostlight Manor is a Halloween-themed strategy game created by the Digital Future Lab. I worked on the audio design as well as user experience design for little over 1.5 years. This game is available in the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. It’s an ongoing project that is currently being developed for the PC platform.

Personal

BlocksVR (Working title)

New ongoing project with myself and colleagues from the Interactive Media Design program. In this team, I will be the User Experience Designer, Audio Designer, Project Manager, as well as QA as it progresses. This is our first project working together outside of an academic setting as well as our first time developing for VR. We will be utilizing the HTC Vive for this project and meet weekly for our scrums. I will be teaching myself basic front-end development fundamentals and increase my efficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite. This will be a chance for us to improve our skill as well as implement what we learned from our program.
